Now that the Filipino-British boy is in the Philippines for a short visit, he has also been receiving a lot of media attention. His mother, Cecille Sumargo-Green said that she still cannot believe that her son is receiving so much acclaim. Cecille said that like Charlie’s father, Roger Green, she is very, very proud of her son's achievements. She and her husband have watched Charlie sing and perform since he was a toddler, and now, she is still adjusting to her son's fame. She said that Charlie started to sing “New York, New York” and “If I Were a Rich Man” at the age of two.She added that her son holds a mini-concert whenever someone in their family is celebrating a birthday.Cecille said that there was one birthday celebration that particularly touched her, when her son gave thanks for his life. The mother said that she still cannot believe what is happening to their lives, but she believes that it’s a good change for them. Charlie is a kid who loves singing but still loves to play sports.“He’s a normal kid really, but when he’s performing he’s really like a professional he will really do his job.”Charlie made headlines when he passed the audition for "Britain's Got Talent" at Manchester Theatre. He said his entire experience as a finalist of the popular TV talent search was unforgettable. He has been very busy with a lot of television guestings, and also did a solo concert at Conway’s Bar at Shangri-la Manila in Makati.Charlie is going back to the United Kingdom any day soon, as he is set to go back to school in September.
