I am a bonsai enthusiast and I do bonsai hunting in my free time and also during weekends. I visit bonsai garden from time to time and take photos of my favorite style. Bonsai making is an art that anybody could perform as long as he or she has the proper tools in bonsai and knows the proper grow and care of bonsai trees. There are bonsai trees that needs in their medium a spoonful of salt specially bonsai trees that came from rocks along the shore. Take a look at the above picture, this is a bonsai tree named "Bantigui" a native specie of the Philippines that mostly grows in the rocks along the shore. This kind of bonsai tree was fed by the owner every month a tablespoon of salt to keep it well nourished and healthy.
